Episode 36 — The Feminine Genius Podcast Turns 1 Today!

In this episode, I talked about:

  • My three lessons: 1. The wound of not knowing how to live out my feminine genius 2. This is a vocation and something that God calls me to 3. When we give our yes to God, He will make a way for me!

  • This quote from St. Augustine: "Our hearts are restless until they rest in you."

  • St. John Paul II, Redemptoris Missio 90 (READ)

  • Matthew 5:16: "In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father in heaven."

  • This quote from St. Irenaeus: "The glory of God is man fully alive."

  • Luke 1:38: "Then Mary said, “Here am I, the servant of the Lord; let it be with me according to your word.” Then the angel departed from her."

  • This quote from St. Therese of Lisieux: "My vocation is love."

Today is a big day for the podcast — it's our one year anniversary! It's been an incredible year filled with so much grace, sharing amazing stories, and new friendships. I can't believe how quickly the year has passed, and I know that this is only the beginning of this ministry!

As I was preparing for this episode, I came across the above image in my archives. This was taken at World Youth Day in Panama, where I went on a mission with Catholic Christian Outreach in January 2019. Many of you know that it was here in Panama that I received the first stirrings of this podcast — but I didn't know it yet. CCO was asked to lead a catechesis site for English speaking pilgrims, and this photo was taken just after we finished our program one of the days. I feel horrible that I don't remember the names of the two folks who prayed with me here, but I do remember my intention. As my team and I prepared for this mission, one of my great expectations for 2019 was to start a ministry. So in this time of prayer, I asked these two folks to pray for me.

Their prayer for me was courage. To be fearless and trust that God had a plan. And boy, did God have a plan!

When it came to ministry, I had no idea that this was where it would take me. I am thankful for these two members of the universal church for their prayers and encouragement, and I am thankful for YOU for your support and listening! On this episode, I share three lessons I learned from this year through working on this podcast, and what's next for the show:
