Andrea Mesana knew she wanted to learn how to play the piano when she heard her babysitter practicing the famous Beethoven piece Für Elise.
From that moment on, music really took hold in Andrea’s life. Over 20 years later, Andrea owns and teaches out of Aria Music Studio. With a number of credentials and years of experience, Andrea has helped many young people reach their music potential and develop their craft.
But even though music is a critical part of Andrea’s life, faith is at the heart of everything she does — including music. Andrea has served extensively with CFC-Youth for Christ and founded the youth ministry group JCRU (Jesus Christ Redeems Us) at St. Matthew’s parish in Surrey. All throughout her life, music and faith have continued to intersect as she lived out her love for Christ through her charism of music.
As someone who was significantly impacted by Andrea myself, I can say with confidence that she is a true example of the feminine genius. Take a listen to our conversation here:
"For me, it's the ultimate expression of my faith, is to be able to serve for mass that way — music." — Andrea Mesana
