For this episode, I got to sit down with TV news report Kara Dixon. Kara is a Black Catholic who can be found reporting news of all kinds, as well as in the community serving the poor and teaching religious education. Kara always had an affinity for news, and she uses her job as an opportunity to tell share good news of all kinds. In particular, she works hard to tell diverse stories and serves as a role model for young people in the community.
In this episode, we talk about Kara's interest in news and how she started in journalism her faith journey, and what being and serving in the Black Catholic community has taught her. We also make mention of racial identity and the importance of representation and why diversity is important.

"What would the world be like if all the Catholic people were not out in the community, just working in their own community and not being out there and sharing the gospel? How can we evangelize and bring other people to the church if we're not out there in news or science or the medical field or something?" — Kara Dixon
