In this episode, Amanda and I mentioned:

Psalm 98:4: "Make a joyful noise unto the Lord"
When God Wrecks Your Romance: Orthodox Faith, Unorthodox Story by Amanda Vernon and Fr. Matt Fase (LEARN MORE)
Congregation of Holy Cross, Fr. Matt's order (LEARN MORE)
The quote that Amanda shares that has stuck with her since she was a teenager: "Respect every man you meet, even the most despicable liar, and act in a respectable way. You will win the respect of every man you meet and you will set a standard for men with other women."
Amanda Vernon is a full-time recording artist and author, and she does her ministry work while raising her family. When I first met Amanda, I was in awe of how joyful she is and how committed to her ministry she is. She is an incredibly talented musician, singer, and speaker, and she speaks with such conviction and joy. Through her ministry, she brings God's love in a very unique way—one that encourages others to seek the beauty and joy of the moment, and trust in God in everything.
Trusting in God was something Amanda learned from a young age, and she recounts that in her co-authored book When God Wrecks Your Romance with her best friend Fr. Matt Fase. I'm not going to spoil the book, but I will say that this story and the respective "yes" that both Amanda and Fr. Matt gave to God have now turned into parish missions and giving plenty of talks. It's truly inspirational, and I hope that you're able to order a copy for yourself and give it a read!
In this episode, Amanda and I talk about her music and ministry, the graces she received through co-authoring a book with her best friend, and the ways she glorifies God with a joyful noise.
